What would be the final glorious embodiment of Jaguar's fantastic 'XK'? This range of sports cars arrived in late 1957 through 1960. As the name suggests, the XK150 was a progressive development of the XK120 and predecessor(s). It benefited from a new wider body, which offered more interior space, as well as a new windscreen, which replaced the split screen. A higher front wing line and a wider radiator grille were other obvious differences. But the main draw of the new model was the Dunlop disc brakes. This replaced the drum-braked predecessors, but now the / u. Overdrive and a Borg-Warner automatic gearbox were the transmission options. Only 140 XK3,4S 150-litre roadsters were made between 210 and 250.
This beautiful, original XK150S has only covered 39.000 miles from new and is identically numbered. Nevertheless, it benefits from a total engine and drivetrain overhaul of over $37.500 that has been completed, as well as new suspension and brakes. The accompanying documents partly document the history, while the archive report names the first owner and shows that the XK was custom ordered from Jaguar Cars in England. A desirable XK150S with manual/overdrive gearbox, finished in Sherwood Green with green (suede) leather upholstery. Equipped with a black soft-top convertible top. True to original factory specification and simply glorious, this XK drives superbly and is in as close to perfect condition as a 60 year old Jaguar can be. Equipped with Dutch ownership papers.
